Friday 10: Collaborate and Listen

Will it ever stop? Yo, I don’t know.

A leafless, flowerless branch covered in ice; the background is a brick wall.
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it.

Last week we had seven lyrics identified! Glen, Frodis Caper, and Lazlo Hollyfeld with two each and Bubs with one.

The three that were left on the table:

  1. Like a Feather / Nikka Costa
  2. Insane in the Brain / Cypress Hill
  3. Driving Sideways / Aimee Mann

Aimee Mann has had a fantastic series of solo albums after her ’Til Tuesday hit “Voices Carry.” “Driving Sideways” is off Bachelor No. 2 or, the Last Remains of the Dodo or the Magnolia soundtrack, both of which are excellent albums. This was her first independent album, and one of my all-time favorites.

This week we have something a little different! Frodis Caper has provided the lyrics for this week, so it’s my first guest-run set. The rules are the same, though:

  1. Post your guesses in the comments. Provide both the artist and the title.
  2. No fair searching.
  3. Covers are accepted if I can find them. (It’s surprising how often hit songs are covers, actually.)

All you have to do to play is comment below, so if one or more of these ring a bell don’t hold back.

Update: Glen has posted his set, and I think I left a few for you.
