Friday 10 - I wanna know what you got to say

Your mind and your experience call to me

Beach scene at the outer banks; storm clouds rolling in from the North, with a bright sky on the right side and dark, threatening clouds on the left.
I can tell you taste like the sky, ’cause you look like rain.

Last week’s game had a respectable 7/10 songs guessed. Arguably 7.5! Charlie correctly identified #6 as Bony Maronie but couldn’t identify the artist. It was first recorded by Larry Williams (no relation) but there are several other popular versions, including one by Little Richard.

The other two were “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James, which also has a ton of covers. And Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart” served as my “This Decade” pick. Songs from the last twenty years are the most difficult for this crowd for some reason.

I never did get around to posting videos, and might not manage today for reasons I don’t want to get into. Number 9 in today’s list triggers a very specific, very old memory for me. I might post about that another day.

Anyway, good luck with this week’s lyrics. I mean that sincerely. I’m predicting… 5/10 this week. Some of these may be a little too obscure.

The rules

  1. Post your guesses in the comments, with the artist and the title. If you guess correctly in your own head, no one knows.
  2. No fair searching.
  3. Covers are accepted if I can find them. I’m good at finding them.
