Lovin’ a free and a feelin’ spirt

Hugging a tree when you get near it

The last game was two weeks ago. At the time I predicted 5/10; y’all guessed 8/10. That will teach me to underestimate this audience.

The two unidentified lyrics:

The first was Morphine, “Head With Wings.” Morphine was also the source of the additional lyrics in the title, description, and caption, which were drawn from “You Look Like Rain.” A pretty obscure pick.

Considerably less obscure was the second. This was Neil Sedaka’s “Laughter in the Rain,” a #1 hit in 1975 and one of Sedaka’s signature tunes. Sedaka passed away this year in February.

Sorry for the radio silence last week — March continues to prove why it’s the absolute worst month. But it is now April, we are safely past the fool’s day, and we have a new set of ten lyrics to identify.

The rules

  1. Put the song title and artist in the comments below. I do accept anonymous comments.
  2. I’ll accept cover artists as well.
  3. But don’t go looking up the lyrics before guessing. That’s cheating.

Good luck!
